Do you build custom pieces?

Yes, we do size and colour variations of any of our designs and can also build new designs that are just a little different from existing pieces.

How Do I Place an Order?

There a a few ways to order one of our pieces:
1- Buy it online with credit. You will be prompted to indicate the number of items, the preferred wood species, the number of the handle or knob of your preference, and the stain colour. The number of the hardware as well as the stain color can be given at a later date.

2- Send an e-trasnfer. Ask for a quote at info@lifebythepond.com, accept it, and send over a 50% deposit to the same email address.

3- Pay over the phone or in person. Request a quote and pay with credit, either in full or a 50% deposit over the phone by calling Gaby at 9056995416, or in person at our workshop with debit or credit.

4- New designs. If you want us to build a new design, please contact Gaby at 9056995416. She will assist you from inquiry to placing the order.

Do not worry about the colour of stain, or knobs & handles, you will have at least 4 weeks after placing the order to decide on details.

Question 3

How do I order a Quartz Countertop?

Accepted Answer

When you are buying an item with a quartz countertop, we calculate the price based on the length of your wood piece and a 3/4" thick and 22"D counter in Pure White. You will have at least 4 weeks to decide on other quartz colours, the thickness, whether you require one hole for the faucet or three, among other things. The price of the counter will likely be adjusted based on the colour you choose.

If you are interested in seeing the quartz slabs in person, a visit can be arranged with our stone supplier.  We just need one day notice to arrange the appointment. Let Gaby know via email to info@lifebythepond.com  the number of the quartz slab you are interested in so she can get a quote for you.

What are the Life by the Pond Handles and Knobs?

Please check our Knobs & Handles page, they are all included in the cost already, all you have to do is let us know which ones you prefer.

No discount will be applied if you choose not to purchase any of our handles or knobs.

How can I pay for my purchase at Life by the Pond?

At Life by the Pond, we offer a variety of payment options to ensure our customers have a convenient and secure shopping experience. You can pay at our website which is fully PCI DSS compliant, meaning we meet the highest information security standard for companies accepting credit card payments.

Alternatively, you can send an e-transfer to info@lifebythepond.com, stop by our shop to pay with debit or credit, or pay over the phone with a credit card.

What types of wood do you use for your furniture at Life by the Pond?

At Life by the Pond, we pride ourselves on using high-quality, durable woods for all of our furniture pieces. We primarily use pine, poplar, ash, red oak, white oak, and black walnut. Regardless of the wood type, we ensure our furniture is crafted to the highest standards to provide you with a long-lasting and beautiful addition to your home.

What colors do you have available?

Start by looking at our Colours page, if you can't quite find what you are looking for, contact Gaby at 9056995416, she will help you find the right colour for your project. It will likely require a custom stain which is Outside the c There are over 20+ colours to choose from. We also offer custom stains for an additional fee of $100.

Will the furniture I receive from Life by the Pond be the same color as the piece I saw in the showroom or online?

At Life by the Pond, we showcase pieces in specific stain colors to give you a general idea of the final tone. However, because each piece is crafted from natural wood sourced from different trees, every item will have its own unique character and variation. This means your piece may appear slightly lighter or darker than the one displayed in the showroom. Rest assured, we use only high-quality materials and craftsmanship to ensure your piece turns out beautiful and one of a kind.

How long does it take for Life by the Pond to complete an order?

Accepted Answer

Your piece will be ready for pickup or delivery in approximately 8–10 weeks. While we make every effort to adhere to this timeline, occasional delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control (such as material availability or unforeseen absences). Throughout the process, we will keep you informed of your order’s progress.

What's your refund & return policy

Accepted Answer

We do not accept refunds or returns except for defective items which will be repaired or replaced. This is because our products are made to order and built according to customer specifications. To make sure you are getting what you paid for we will send a sketch for your approval a few days before working on your project, and will also confirm the colour of your preference before staining the piece(s).

Question 12

Do I have to buy a quartz countertop for my bathroom vanity?

Accepted Answer

Not really. We can build your bathroom vanity without a countertop, with a quartz countertop, or with a wood countertop. You choose whatever works for you.
