Every piece we build is crafted from solid wood—no MDF, veneer, or particleboard. The only exception is our plywood drawer bottoms.Why does this matter? Solid wood brings natural strength and distinctive grain, making each piece uniquely yours. It can also be repaired and refinished over time, allowing your furniture to grow with your home and style. With proper care, it’s a piece you can enjoy for generations.

Yes, we do size and colour variations of any of our designs and can also build new designs that are just a little different from existing pieces.

There a a few ways to order one of our pieces:Option 1- Buy it online with credit. You will be prompted to indicate the number of items, the preferred wood species, the number of the handle or knob of your preference, and the stain colour. The number of the hardware as well as the stain color can be given at a later date.Option 2- Send an e-transfer. Ask for a quote at info@lifebythepond.com, accept it, and send over a 50% deposit to the same email address.Option 3- Pay over the phone or in person. Request a quote and pay with credit, either in full or a 50% deposit over the phone by calling Gaby at 9056995416, or in person at our workshop with debit or credit.Option 4- New designs. If you want us to build a new design, please contact Gaby at 9056995416. She will assist you from inquiry to placing the order.Do not worry about the colour of stain, or knobs & handles, you will have at least 4 weeks after placing the order to decide on details.

Thank You for Your Order!Here’s what to expect as we create your solid wood piece:Design sketch: Sent approximately 15 days after ordering. Any adjustments you would like us to incorporate can be requested until two weeks before building begins.Colour selection: Around one month after ordering, we’ll share finish photos. Workshop visits and custom stain matching are also available—bring a sample for us to match. Custom stains will require you to visit our stain supplier in person.Completion: Typically around 10 weeks from your order date, following design and finish approvals. If delays arise, we’ll notify you one week before the 10-week mark.Thank you for your trust and patience—we look forward to creating your piece!

When purchasing a piece with a quartz countertop, the quoted price is based on the length of your furniture and a ¾"-thick, 22"-deep countertop in Pure White.You’ll have at least four weeks after placing your order to finalize your quartz colour, countertop thickness, faucet-hole configuration (one or three holes), and other details. The final price may vary depending on your selections.Viewing Quartz in PersonOnce your order is placed, we can arrange a visit to our stone supplier to view the slabs in person. Not really. We can build your bathroom vanity without a countertop, with a quartz countertop, or with a wood countertop. You choose whatever works for you.

Your piece will be ready for pickup or delivery in approximately 8–10 weeks. We do not accept refunds or returns except for defective items which will be repaired or replaced. This is because our products are made to order and built according to customer specifications. To make sure you are getting what you paid for we will send a sketch for your approval a few days before working on your project, and will also confirm the colour of your preference before staining the piece(s).
